I’m Troy Priddy, founder and lead inspector of From The Ground Up inspections. I was born and raised in Southeast Texas, and after serving six years in the U.S. Navy (1992–1998), I returned home with a mission: to help families and businesses make informed decisions about their properties.
I started this company in 2004, bringing with me the discipline, attention to detail, and work ethic I learned in the military. Over the years, I’ve inspected thousands of homes and commercial properties across Southeast Texas, always with the same commitment — to treat every inspection as if it were for my own family.
This isn’t just a business; it’s a family tradition. My wife and I have been married since 1993, and our three children have grown up here in Port Neches. Today, I work side-by-side with my youngest son, bringing two generations of dedication and service to every job.

Owner Troy Priddy proudly served six years in the United States Navy from 1992 to 1998. Military service taught Troy the importance of accountability, honesty, and preparation. Whether it’s double-checking a safety concern or ensuring a report is clear and complete, he approaches each property with the same diligence he applied to his duties in the Navy.
